Kinto Unitea Review: A Teapot Compatible with V60

Drawing from my experience with the Kinto insulated bottle, I started taking an interest in products from this Japanese brand. That's how I discovered a really interesting glass teapot: the Kinto Unitea One Touch. It offers several characteristics that distinguish it from other glass teapots I've come across.
Design of the Kinto teapot
Available in 720 ml and 460 ml formats, its design is simple and functional. First positive point: the system that holds the tea during infusion. The Kinto does not use a conventional basket system for brewing tea. Thus, the tea is not compacted during infusion (as for example with Bodum carafes), which allows for better tea infusion while offering a wide opening that facilitates cleaning. For cleaning, a sponge can be easily inserted for thorough cleaning. The teapot can also go in the dishwasher and, thanks to its shape, it does not retain water, thus avoiding marks.

Then, I pour the tea into my Kinto insulated bottle.
As it happens, this wide opening allows this teapot to be transformed into a carafe for the Hario V60. Thus, with this Kinto, you have a 2-in-1 system for brewing tea or coffee (provided you have a V60 or equivalent).
The Kinto teapot can also serve as a carafe for the V60.
The wide opening makes filling and cleaning easier, particularly in the dishwasher.
Conclusion
As someone who loves tea as much as coffee, I can tell you that I'm very satisfied with my purchase. This carafe serves me equally well for brewing V60s and tea, tea that I often bring to work with an insulated bottle.
