About

Thomas — specialty coffee enthusiast, grinder and machine tester for over 10 years.

Who am I?

My name is Thomas, and I've been passionate about specialty coffee for over 10 years. What started as curiosity about espresso evolved into a full exploration of the coffee world: manual grinders, lever machines, and pour-over brewing.

With an engineering background, I approach coffee with precision — comparative tests, measurements, reproducible protocols — while always keeping the pleasure of a good cup at the center.

Coffeegeek.co

The site was born from a simple observation: there was a lack of a serious resource on coffee equipment, accessible to beginners and enthusiasts alike. I publish in-depth reviews, practical guides and recipes — first in French, then translated into 9 languages.

The site contains no advertising. It is funded solely by affiliate commissions when you purchase through links in the articles, at no extra cost to you.

What you'll find here

  • Grinder reviews — manual and electric, from entry-level to high-end
  • Machine reviews — lever, semi-automatic, portable
  • Practical guides — dialing in, maintenance, espresso and pour-over recipes
  • News — new releases and trends in the coffee world

My setup

I primarily work with a La Pavoni Europiccola (manual lever machine) and a 1Zpresso J-Ultra grinder. For pour-over, I use a Hario V60 with a Fellow Stagg EKG kettle.
